The ACT Ice Skating Association (ACTISA) is responsible for all
aspects of figure skating in the ACT - figure skating, pair skating,
ice dancing & synchronised skating. Please note that ACTISA does not own or manage the ice rink nor is it responsible for running the lesson and practice sessions.
The committee is made up entirely of volunteers and performs a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
- Organising competitions
- Organising Aussie Skate
tests
- Organising ISA tests
- Arranging special training sessions - some examples include:
Mini Olympics, Artistic Training Session, Synchro
- Running the ACTISA Presentation Dinner
- Liaising with the national body Ice Skating Australia
- Preparing financial statements for the auditor
- Supporting the ACT Team
- Communications including newsletter and website
- Purchasing awards, equiment
- Maintaining the Computer system for the judging panel
- Fundraising & Fundraising Table
- Training of Judges and Officials
- External promotions
- Training on equipment
- Reimbursement of interstate judges' costs
- Subsidies
